279,790 new sales landed across 122 areas; prices rose most in Welwyn Hatfield (+6.9% over 12 months), and softened most in City of London (−25.1%); across England, 17.7% of homes that changed hands in the last five years resold for less than the previous owner paid (nominal) — rising to 29.4% for homes bought new.
